TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the booking and participation in the Maldives Kite Trip organized by Seabreeze Kitesurf School. By making a booking payment, we understand that you and all parties on your booking have read and accepted all the terms (updated March 2025).

2. Booking and payment terms

  • All trip bookings require a $1000 initial deposit which will be processed online at the time of booking, with the full balance due 6 weeks prior to the tour start date.
  • For all tour bookings made within 6 weeks of the tour start date, full payment will be processed online at the time of the booking.
  • A cooling-off period of 7 days applies to all tour deposits received prior to 6 weeks before the tour start date. This will begin from the day the deposit is paid to Seabreeze account.
  • Tours booked within 6 weeks of the start date are not eligible for a cooling-off period.
  • Prices for all tours are subject to change until full payment is received.

The deposit can be paid online in the “Shop” section of seabreezekitesurfschool.com website or via bank transfer. The remaining balance (or full balance if the trip is booked within 6 weeks of the tour start date) must be paid by bank transfer to the account below:

3. Cancellation and refunds

Cancellation by the participant

  • A full refund, minus the $1,000 deposit, will be provided if the participant cancels the trip more than 6 weeks before the tour’s start date, and after the 7-day cooling-off period has passed.
  • No refund will be provided if the participant cancels the trip within 6 weeks of the tour start date. Tour can not be transferred to a future Seabreeze tour. 

Cancellation by Seabreeze 

  • Seabreeze reserves the right to cancel a tour due to insufficient participant numbers, staffing issues, or any other reason deemed necessary. We will make every effort to offer an alternative tour or provide a full refund (minus any applicable fees or charges).
  • Seabreeze is not liable for any additional fees, costs, or loss of income resulting from a tour cancellation, including but not limited to changes in flights or accommodation cancellation fees. 

Weather-related refunds

  • If weather conditions are unsuitable for kitesurfing for the majority of the trip, Seabreeze will make efforts to organize alternative activities at no extra charge.

4. Trip inclusions and exclusions

  • Every package (Beginner Kiter, Progress Kiter, Independent Kiter, +1 Non-Kiter) includes accommodation for 7 nights, 7 breakfasts, 7 lunches, 5 dinners, speedboat transfer from MLE airport to Fenfushi South Ari Atoll island and back, and kitesurfing coaching specified in the package description. Beginner Kiter package includes kitesurfing gear necessary for coaching sessions.
  • The packages do NOT include flights, alcohol, kitesurfing gear (except for the Beginner Kiter package), additional activities, or personal travel insurance.

5. Insurance

Having travel insurance is mandatory for participation in our trips. We may disqualify you from taking part in our adventure without any refunds if you do not have a proper insurance package.

Such insurance should cover emergency medical expenses for any personal injury, evacuation and repatriation, cancellation and curtailment and other reasonable expenses.

You should also make sure that your insurance package provides sufficient coverage against all other relevant risks, including but not limited to third party. It is also your responsibility to keep your insurance provider sufficiently informed of your travel plans and the nature of hazards and risks involved.

If any insurance case happens, it will be your responsibility to inform your insurance provider and to comply with all procedures relating to indemnification/reimbursement. We shall provide reasonable assistance, but shall not be responsible for any positive outcome of the insurance claim whatsoever.

6. Liability and assumption of risk

  • Kitesurfing and adventure travel carry inherent risks. By joining our trips, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

Seabreeze Kitesurf School and its team are not responsible for accidents, injuries, or losses beyond our control.

7. Complaints

  • If you have a problem during your retreat, please inform a member of our team immediately, who will endeavour to put things right. If your complaint cannot be resolved locally, you must advise us in writing immediately on your return.

8. Participant information

  • Participants are required to disclose any pre-existing medical conditions, allergies, or health concerns that may affect their participation in the trip. This information should be provided in advance in a waiver sent by Seabreeze, for safety and liability purposes. Seabreeze reserves the right to deny participation if medical conditions or restrictions pose a risk to the participant or others.
  • Participants who wish to rent kitesurfing gear must inform Seabreeze prior to the trip to ensure availability and proper fitting.
